| This program is offered in partnership with the Warriors Against Violence Society, a social service agency that assists Aboriginal individuals and families in dealing with family violence. The citation program trains community members in wholistic family healing methods. The WAV program offers a psycho-educational approach to understanding and eliminating family violence that includes a strong foundation in traditional Aboriginal health practices. Graduates are trained to deliver the program with families in their own communities. The program offers partial credit transfer to the Family & Community Counselling program at the post-secondary level. |
